The Paper

My brother and my sister-in-law are in the process of designing our Save the Dates. This is a rough version of what they will look like- we are only sending them to OOT guests.

The color underneath the airplane is going to be a lighter ivory color. The line behind the airplane is also going to be a lighter blue. The text under the sky says "Ben & Bea February 13, 2010 Miami, FL Formal Invitation to Follow". We love the art deco, vintage but modern feel to it. Can't wait to see the final product.

So we have been working with Niki from Papery and Cakery and I think we've found our invitations. They are a letterpress invitation by Smock and we love that they are eco friendly- They use this ultra luxe beautiful bamboo paper for all their invitations.

The invitation will be housed in a striped folio (or pocketfold) and will include the invitation, reply card and envelope, and a reception card. Both the inner and outer envelopes will be done in calligraphy.

I don't have a picture of the folio but this is the invitation. The striped part that you see here is the back of this particular invitation. Since our invitation will be in a folio we obviously aren't doing this but we are doing a striped folio so you can kinda see how they would look together.

Here is a sample of one of their folios. Obviously this is a totally different look but you get the idea. Ours will be striped on the outside and blank on the inside.
